Countam is committed to protecting your personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). This policy explains what we collect on this website, why, and your rights.

What we collect

• Information you give us — when you start a trial or book a demo we collect your name, email, phone number, business name, industry, revenue band and your stated business challenge, so we can set up your trial and support you.
• Usage information — we record anonymous page views (page visited, referring site, a random visitor identifier) to understand how the website performs. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To create and support your Countam trial and account
• To contact you about your trial by email, phone or WhatsApp
• To send onboarding guidance during your trial (you can opt out at any time)
• To improve our website and product

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except service providers who process it on our instructions (hosting, email delivery) under appropriate safeguards.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of consent (you submitting a form), contract (providing your trial and subscription), and legitimate interest (improving our service), as recognised under the NDPA.

Retention

Lead and trial data is kept while your account is active. If your trial or subscription ends, you have 30 days to export your business data, after which it is securely deleted. Marketing contact preferences are honoured immediately.

Your rights

Under the NDPA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; object to processing; or withdraw consent. Contact our Data Protection Officer at info@countam.com or +234 906 203 4477. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, backed up, and protected by access controls. Countam is NDPR-registered with a named Data Protection Officer.
